How It Works

1

Pick a Chain

Select your pizza chain from the dropdown, or choose Custom to enter your own sizes.

2

Select Two Sizes

Choose the two pizza sizes you want to compare. Prices auto-fill based on the chain.

3

See the Winner

We calculate area (π × r²) and divide by price. Lower cost per sq in wins.

Area = π × (diameter / 2)²
Total = base price + (toppings × price each)
Effective area = area × (1 - waste%)
Value = total / effective area → lower is better

Pizza Value Tips

  • 📐
Diameter is squared. A 16" pizza isn't 14% bigger than a 14" — it's 31% bigger. Small increases in diameter mean big jumps in area.
  • 🏷️
Watch for promos. Coupons and bundle deals often make the medium or large a better deal than the XL at full price.
  • 🧀
Toppings can flip it. If each topping costs more on a bigger size, the value gap shrinks or reverses.
  • 🗑️
Account for waste. Buying more pizza only saves money if you actually eat it. Use the waste selector to be honest about leftovers.
  • 🚗
Don't forget fees. Delivery fees, service charges, and tipping thresholds can change the total math.
